archaeological sites in france

I'm afraid of driving on the wrong side of the road. Call me a chicken but I'm terrified of being in an accident, so while I'm in France, I visit archaeological sites on public transport. This does involve a bit of planning (and walking too, usually) and generally involves slow travel as it can be hard to get to more than one site each day - unless you're in a city like Arles or Nimes. But that usually means all the more time to relax and reflect when you get there.
I'm currently working on a couple of itineraries to help you find your way to the best archaeological sites in France independently.
